Additional stages in Breginjski kot:

With Kobarida, three new subsidiary stages were created, which lead to Breginj, Robidišče and Podbela.

The Juliana Trail, a scenic long-distance hiking trail that stretches through the diverse landscape of the Julian Alps, offers a unique experience of nature and culture. This year, the basic circuit of the route is enriched with a new connecting loop, which leads to the magical Breginjska corner, where history, tradition and unspoilt nature intertwine. Breginjski kot, a hidden gem in the far west of Slovenia, is an area that, with its isolation and authenticity, offers peace and quiet, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The three new, additional stages, 13A, 13B and 13C, are a true range of natural beauty and cultural attractions. Stage 13A from Kobarid to Breginj leads past the Nadiža River and through forests that are perfect for exploring and enjoying the silence. Stage 13B from Breginj to Podbela passes through the idyllic village of Robidišče, where you can admire traditional architecture and meet hospitable locals. Finally, stage 13C from Podbela back to Kobarid offers wonderful views of the Soča valley and the surrounding peaks, which is a real balm for the soul of every hiker.

The event is part of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Alpine Conservation Park, the first protected area on Slovenian territory, the predecessor of the Triglav National Park.
