Hike on part of the 14th stage of Juliana Trail | Soča Valley Hiking Festival

Part of the picturesque stage of the long-distance route Juliana Trail from Log pod Mangart, one of the most beautiful villages on the entire route around the Julian Alps, to the Kluže Fortress.
Log pod Mangartom is a beautiful village under the dramatic peaks of Jerebica, Mangart, Jalovec and Loška stena. In the middle of the village is the entrance to a tunnel that led to a mine on the Italian side and which, not long ago, provided bread for most of the inhabitants. Here we will start the hike and continue along the right bank of the Koritnica river through the lower part of the Možnica valley to the riverbeds and waterfalls of the Nemčlja stream. We will finish at the mighty fortress Kluže, set above the 60-meter deep bed of the Koritnica river.
Those who are still strong at the end of the hike will be offered a free guided tour of the Koritnica canyon underground, where we will walk through a 400m long tunnel under the fortress Kluže.
At the end, a paid transport of the drivers back to the starting point in Log pod Mangartom will be organized.
